Super friendly staff. Super clean. Great pricing! Only reason I gave four stars is because the room refrigerator did not work. I bought food the next day and realized it did not work so my food went bad.
Professional service at the front desk, and everything was in order at the room each day. Didn't get to try the breakfast during my stay, but the area was kept up well and looked good.
Arrived tired (left Corpus Christi quick & in a hurry due to the scallywag of Harvey himself!) Checked in promptly, nice quaint room, clean & simple. Bathroom sparkled of cleanness. After a quick inspection, we dropped like a rock, slept like a baby. Although, we enjoyed our stay, I merely have ONE COMPLAINT, the toilet is way L O W! I kid you not, my knees almost touched the floor! Other than that, I loved our short stay at Hampton Inn & Suites, it totally rocked!
Now to the meat & potatoes of our stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites--
Had to edit my initial review, i couldn't set my wifi connection until I visited downstairs & spoke with Bob, nice gent indeed and he set my wifi connection quickly, thank you Bob!
Hotel & staff was nice, the room was pretty clean. I just had to take away 2 stars because there was a roach on the bathroom door that we had to kill and just as my 4 year old was about to lay down and fall asleep there was a spider I spotted on the pillow. Now I know those things the hotel kind of doesn't have any control over, but I think they should look into having their rooms sprayed or something to avoid problems like that. Also when we got into our room there were strands of hair in the bathroom sink and tub, easy to just rinse away but I shouldn't have had to do that. Also the dining area to eat the complimentary breakfast had A LOT of flies. It was beyond annoying because you really can't enjoy eating your food or having a conversation with them flying all over you and your food. Now don't get me wrong, it is a decent hotel. As far as the roach goes it did not look like a hotel that has a bug problem. Maybe the people that were in the room before us brought a roach with them. Because if you look at other's reviews there's no indication of a bug problem. And the thing about the hair is just my way of saying that if there was hair left in the sink & bathtub it was sort of like how clean can they possibly be? And it's also just to let the hotel know (if they're looking at my review) to kind of get on the housekeeping about that and keeping the rooms a lot cleaner. But other than that the hotel was really nice I still put three stars because let me tell you I've been to my fair share of hotels and this by far is NOT the worst that I've seen. So I would still go back to this hotel and give it another shot and you can do the same. Now if others start to leave a review about having bug problems then yeah, maybe you should be looking into another hotel. But for right now I recommend it and say give it a chance. Overall it wasn't bad.
Christopher was another gentleman that assisted with TV picture tube problem, he was courteous & attentive, he resolved problem quickly. Another fine example of great Mangement in place and problem solving skills, loved it!
It's an adequate hotel. Going through renovations but nice nonetheless. Breakfast was good.
